i can remember dressing up as Hans & Franz (an old SNL skit) with one of my good friends long ago. it was a great costume idea because it was sweatpants + swearshirt with pillows for insulation 👍
The last few days have been unusually cool in my area, TBH. I realized this morning I could’ve actually worn my 4th Doctor scarf without being too hot, but too late to get the rest of the costume together.
Ugh I always hated having to put a jacket over my costume!
One year my neighbor’s mom sewed her a dinosaur costume and insulated it with a bunch of fleece batting, so the costume was warm enough she didn’t need a jacket. I was soooooo jelly!
Idk where you live but it’s the opposite here. Used to be able to stay out until almost 22:00 and it’d be 60°F at the lowest. It’s currently 14:19 and 46 degrees. Trick or treat doesn’t start for another 3 hours and it’s supposed to get colder.
I remember sweating my 7 year old ass off while inside a trashcan painted like R2-D2 in the 90s. South Texas has always been a hellhole.
I remember wearing a snowsuit under my costume.
