The ‘yankification’ of British politics continues with Turning Point drawing attention to whatever the hell these people are supposed to be

It’s very interesting how quickly narratives can be built. I’ve been exposed to TPUSA talking points for a full decade now and it’s completely obvious Charlie Kirk was not seeking any kind of truth sincerely.

That is the difference between rhetoric and philosophy. He only wanted to win.

Now we all just have to pretend like Kirk wasn’t peddling ideologies that dearly want to silence those who disagree with them. Free speech evangelist my ass.

Being pro free speech has nothing to do with willingness to change your opinion. Rhetoric and philosophy are both contained within the free speech bubble. Also there are no ideologies that are free from the potential of stifling others free speech, which is why it needs to be vigorously protected by everyone, all the time.

Yeah I swear every time religion appears innocuous it’s actually just incubating its next wave of evil. At some point people need to say enough is enough. No more being tolerant of religion or polite about it. They should be treated with the same two-faced smiling disgust they treat us with.

It combines the normalization of magical thinking with the belief in an absolute moral authority. So you get people that aren’t concerned with provable reality and are sure they’re doing the right thing.

Can they just skip to the step where they start eating each other and leave the rest of us alone?

You know, if this was a Muslim group, this would be front page news and a moral panic, and there would be debates on if we should ban this group.

UK moment. If this was a Muslim group, they would have been hauled off for “terrorism” well before the story hit the press.

that’s because of the organizing led by TPAction, which is the fascist political arm of Turning Point USA, which itself can’t be political since it is a non-profit. this is somehow legal in our current system lol. you can just branch off an affiliate org and retain control and that can be political because it’s different! it’s separate! TPUSA is going to spread wherever it is allowed because they are navigating on the fine line of legality and they exploit that shit.

Do you have a source on that? I’d like to be proven wrong

a source on what, exactly? not being flippant, i assure you. TPAction is a registered organization with TPUSA, and the way our laws work forces TPUSA to remain “non-political,” so in order to maintain the image of being non-political they spun off a political arm named Turning Point Action. you can look it up, basically. it’s the only way TPUSA can act politically, so any time you are seeing TPUSA organize and move it’s through their “TPAction” group. does that make sense?

That claim is what I’m asking for sources on. What source do you have that says they are being supported by TPUSA? King’s Army’s website says they are non political.

….what the hell are you talking about lol. hello, this thread is your source? the post you’re responding to? the post that says TPUSA has a branch in the UK that supports King’s Army? i don’t understand what the hell is being questioned lol.

are you talking about financial funding? i don’t know if TPUSA is funneling money to King’s Army, but that wouldn’t surprise me. TPUSA is supporting them regardless of it being financial or political.

why is it relevant? Hitler supported animal rights, yet I’m not out here calling vegan activists nazis (even the radical ones)

Their website says they’re non-political, and their actions are organising street protests about “morality” in London’s main gay district.

A generous interpretation would be that you’re naive.

That wasn’t politically motivated, though. Nor were they advocating political change. It was likely an attempt at exorcism/evangelism
