It’s a shame those pieces of shit didn’t get curb stomped. I can’t wait till it’s time to start really fighting back. Kudos to those people for getting him out without needing to. But damn do those guys deserve some pain. I would not have been able to keep calm if I was witnessing that

Conspiracy theorist in me says this was designed by ICE with the hope that the protesters would turn violent, giving Trump a legal excuse to send in the army.

I’m not in good physical shape, but I think I could have gotten handcuffs on that guy.

True courage against masked invaders violently kidnapping people on the streets of the USA. What a pathetic authority. Cowards. And so much restraint from fellow humans who want to do more to help but know they cannot against the thugs that showed up that day. Shows just how far the USA has fallen to satisfy a rapist felon president and all his billionaire puppet masters.

Bad idea strategically, though I agree it’s what they deserve. The whole reason Trump sent them to Chicago is to get violence to justify further intervention to get more violence to justify more intervention to have armed MAGAts oversee the 2026 election.

      Was thinking the same.

Where are the 13 year old troublemakers at? We used to throw bike locks on the bike cops wheels when we were kids. And they weren’t fucking terrorizing our neighborhood.

Get the kid with the crackhead parents whose been through the system a dozen times before puberty to do the dirty work, he’s in and out of the precinct in a couple hours.

Edit: can you imagine seeing a fucking teenager straight up pants these clowns? Overdub it with yakety sax.

The lack of people actually attacking the ice members is sad. The only reason this man got away is because HE fought back.

He might as well have been alone for all the bystanders did.

      tires

What a weird way to spell back.

The fact that live kidnappings and abductions are met with so little resistance is terrifying.

You don’t knife tires to fight back against ICE.

ICE is the symptom, not the disease. If ICE was a persistent cough, knifing tires is treating it with Robitussin. Except that this particular cough is caused by tuberculosis, and the Robitussin will just make you feel better. While you die.

You need to treat the disease, not the symptom. To fight back against ICE, barbecue a billionaire.

Taking small bites and chewing thoroughly is wise, regardless if the target “food” is a pile of hotdogs, an airplane, or the 1%… Don’t judge others for the size of their chosen forkful. Let’s keep our eyes on our own plates and we’ll all be through this deluge of shit sooner. 🤌🏼

I will absolutely judge people for their wasted, wasteful, and futile efforts. Trying to target ICE agents just ensures you’ll be locked up or dead. You won’t stop any immigration action. You won’t spare a single victim from being persecuted. You’ll just serve as a warning to everyone else not to resist.

If you’re choosing violence, choose an effective target.

Edit: You’re making a false dichotomy out of this, seemingly out of bad faith.

Your analogy is broken in just about every way imaginable as treating the symptoms is often done in conjunction with treating the disease.

Why? Often treating the symptoms is a life-saving measure in the short-term while treating the disease is a long-term solution. Done simultaneously. In cases where symptoms are not life-threatening it is still treated for comfort and ability to function.

        Both have to happen simultaneously.

If all you do is sit back and try and fight the big problem and you don’t tackle the little problems eating away at the fabric under you. Eventually there won’t be any more fabric to stand on to fight the big problem.

Nothing good comes from antagonizing ICE directly. You will not stop a single person from being kidnapped by confronting ICE directly. They’ll just go back and get more funding, more manpower, more resources, more militarization, and more and more people will be kidnapped. So it’s not really like treating the cough with Robitussin. It’s more like treating it with cocaine. Or asbestos.

If “Slashing Tires” is your level of commitment, you’re better off slashing the tires of a random millionaire. Instead of ICE demanding more resources for their operations, that millionaire will demand resources be diverted to protecting their cars instead of abducting people. Meanwhile, we all cheer every time we read about a 1% being targeted.

I’d argue that’s what they’re looking for to justify even more military presence and push to lock down things. See the reaction to Charlie Kirk.

However, maybe “they” (ICE leaders) would escalate things even if it were just tires being slashed, not throats. In which case, there’s nothing to lose.

Would you shoot one? Probably not. I don’t mean it as a diss towards you it’s just not a thing one just does. You are either a psycho or very desperate if you can shoot someone and even though we all hate these people it’s not sth one just does.

I understand your point, but you and I probably also wouldn’t steel steal cars, embezzle money, or beat up people for drugs, yet these things are happening daily.

I bet plenty of people with an anger problem walk/drive around with (legal or illegal) guns, and some portion of them probably matches the skin colors that these thugs are targeting. How come not once has somebody got jumpy, when masked people attacked them or their friends? They look exactly like how fake police look like in movies, when they try to rob a rival drug gang.

I’m just surprised nobody shot one of them yet.

Simultaneously very heartening and incredibly frustrating to watch. The victim had to fight so fucking hard while everybody else was being incredibly passive and meek.

Shout-out to the girl in the black dress for being the bravest of all of them and showing how to be a proper menace.

This is one of those “nail that sticks up” issues and setting expectations for others and what is expected of you in those situations.

To be perfectly honest I’m pushing this point for entirely selfish reasons because I do not possess the self-control to remain that passive in those situations and have the scars to show for it. It might be a character flaw on my part, but I also understand that it is safer for everyone when it’s a mob that stands up vs. just one or two individuals.
