    Earbuds.

I recently took up running, and when I did that I decided I was just going to wear my smartwatch and earbuds. I leave my phone in the house, I leave my keys in the garage (there’s a keypad on the garage door), I don’t even take the case for the earbuds.

When I go out for any reason other than running, I always take my phone, wallet, keys, earbuds, chapstick, a pen, and nail clippers. (I don’t know why on that last one, but I’ve had a pair for my whole adult life, except when traveling by plane, and they come in handy a lot). I usually also wear my watch, but sometimes I forget to charge it and it has to stay on the charger.

So the only common item in those two lists is the earbuds.

In the vein of your positive attitude, I also try to always take with me a realization that everyone else is fighting a battle, too.

Not sure what kind of watch and phone you have, but I just discovered that I can charge my watch from my phone using the wireless charging capability of the phone. I’ve owned both for 4 years now. (Both Samsung)

Huh, that’s handy. Mine are both Pixels, and alas the Pixel watch has a magnetic but not wireless charger.

My purse has all sorts of things in it. The most useful are the pen light, stubby multi-bit driver, utility knife, and multi-bit electronics driver. That with chargers, and usb cables (A, C, and micro).

Of course that is in addition to what one would typically find in a ladies’ purse. I also have my nicotine products in there.

Every few weeks I sort through what is in there. It’s too bad that it is not really socially acceptable for cishet guys to have a European carry-all.

Clothes, unfortunately. If I go out nude, the nation will bankrupt itself trying to get a front-row viewing of this show~

I carry like $2 in change in my right front pocket, and have for as long as I can remember. I cannot leave the house without it anymore - it feels like something is wrong. I also would struggle to tell you the last time I ever NEEDED physical change. It’s more of a novelty than anything at this point, but it’s part of my routine.

BRUH, I’d worry about people stealing it. Couldn’t even concentrate on whatever game it is.

Well sometimes nothing if I am with my husband, that is so awesome. But if it’s just me - keys and phone are my usual gear, phone can pay for stuff. Bike lock if I am on the bike; purse with all my purse stuff if I’m driving the car.

Stuff in my purse is wallet with ID and cards, vitamins and medicines, hair stuff and lip balm, sunscreen, a Rubik’s Cube, a crow whistle and dice, glasses cleaner and sometimes sunglasses.

      a Rubik’s Cube

How fast is your fastest? I done the 3x3 in like within 60 seconds, nothing even close to the 5-second that pros get.

I suck at it, lucky to solve it at any speed - my penultimate kid is fast though, like you under a minute. Just like to have some analog toys in my bag.

I keep most of my “EDC” stuff in my bag — chapstick, keys, hand sani, etc.

If I’m going out for a while and I expect it to get dark, I like to pack a flashlight.

I used to carry a knife but sometimes it makes going into bars and clubs awkward so I usually leave it at home now
