That’s a fair statement, I guess it does really boil down to those two questions. The main one in my eyes being the first though. In today’s world with the technology we have, moral or not, is it reasonable to expect privacy in written forms of communication.

To your first point, then youd say private chats being used against you (personally or professionally) is fine because its your fault they able to be hacked/accessed? To your second point, I’m not really talking about actual criminal activity. Any criminal activity can, will and should be used in a judicial context to convict of a crime. I’m mostly speaking about social and professional consequences for private chats.

Hilarious, a good friend of mine wants to go into politics eventually. He’s very careful about what he texts and even refuses to discuss certain things virtually. He’s also part of the reason I wrote the question.

I commented on your other post about this. No, this is a problem and seeking help from a professional is absolutely paramount in your situation. If this post isnt about you, your responsibility is to urge the individual to seek help. A general uncaring for the world is the first ingredient in dozens of tragic recipes. You’re/they’re not alone, even if thats preferable. You need people in almost the same way you need food and water. I care about you/them and I’m absolutely positive plenty of others do too.

Yeah I’m a mechanical/stationary engineer. I can do most of the hands on stuff too. I’m sure he could teach me a ton. Probably made a great living in those 50 years.

Yeah, there was a cool show on some channel when I was a kid. Called something like “after people” it went area by area and discussed what it would look like if all humans disappeared X year to Y year.

I’m currently finishing a movie called “furioza” but once its over I plan on finding and watching it. I’m staying up all night watching movies with my buddy.
