what really opened my eyes was working on the executive end of homelessness services. when democrats are in power, there’s ample funding and many available grants. when republicans are in power, there is no funding.
i previously didn’t think the funding was as inconsistent as it is, i guess.
It used to be that the President didn’t have a huge effect on our daily lives, but times have changed. For example, I have never seen a President single-handedly fuck up the economy at this speed. It takes some serious fuckups to move this juggernaut of an economy.
