    Uno reverse

Unironically, though, most of the surveillance techniques I oppose being used against the general public, I support being used against the police. If cops want to continue to exist, they should be at least held to a higher standard.

I know that good cops, in the UK apparently love the cameras etc. They make their job a lot simpler. It also lets them filter out bad officers. They make everyone’s life harder, and so they want them either gone, or retrained.

I really hope no one at all purchases a couple hundred cheap single-board computers, installs cameras and facial recognition software on them, then distributes them to cities across the country. Please don’t do this.

And if you do, well… everyone makes mistakes now and then, but DEFINITELY don’t connect projectors to these “ice-melting” devices, mount them in hard-to-reach places, then blast the identities of gestapo federal agents onto buildings and streets in real time while they’re performing their duties! Now that would be very very double-plus ungood, citizen.
