Iran declared war on the US, Israel and Europe. It hasn’t been reciprocated yet.

I get there might be some subtlety of difference there, and language matters. But war, war never changes.
There’s a bit more than a nuance between “ I declare war on you!” and “You are making war on me!”
They’ll know if the US declares war alright.
