And then they passed this rule that only congress members (personally, no aides) can look at the files, on provided government computers.

Making it impossible to well sift through them. Everything is done with lawmakers’ staff. Lawmakers don’t even read the bills they vote on, not even the ones they author. It’s all their aides, if not other groups that write it for them, or give the model legislation to their aides that fill in the blanks.

Congress needs to pass new legislation to get this information out there somehow, this is open corruption to shield blackmailed child fuckers, how are we ok with this? No one thinks these redactions are in good faith, least of all the republicans.

Israel first always. This president made a mockery out of his own slogan in his dotage here, ultimately because Israel has him 7 ways from sunday doing heinous shit that even his base couldn’t support. If the evangelicals drop him for moral reasons, it would have to be heinous.

They’re on display in the bottom drawer of a locked filing cabinet stuck in a disused lavatory with a sign on the door saying “Beware of the Leopard”.

I don’t think so. This was on the news just a few days ago. I think the files are quite accessible, but only to high-level officials. The point is that it would take many days of full-time work to sift through everything, and they cannot offload it to other people working for them.

What do you mean? They are only available to members of congress, not their staffs, which do all the work, and only available in a secure scif whatever, they can’t bring in electronics, it’s read only, and taking notes.

Lawmakers don’t do anything themselves their staff does stuff. Disallowing their staffs, and electronic devices to be used, guarentees they won’t be able to uncover virturally everything being hidden from us here.

So no, the files aren’t accessible, there is zero way to get an honest accounting of even these 3 million of 8 million total pages that were illegally redacted before the justice department got to redacting them. Protecting victims predictably means protecting co conspirators. After all the president and his billionaire pals are always the real victims.
