The only way out is through. Delaying the inevitable only makes it harder and more bloody.

This chapter in US history is different in how it is being prosecuted. There has always been a battle between (let’s not mince words) slavers and abolitionists. The US Civil War almost put that to rest, but then didn’t. The exact same conflict has been brewing since, and now the federal government has taken the slaver side in a way that hasn’t happened before, and it wields incredible military might.

The last shoe to drop is whether the Armed Forces of the United States will fall in line with the administration, or stand against in part or in full. Either way, there’s going to be a fight.

In that case, shouldn’t your focus be on building a broad political alliance of opposition that includes as much of the military as possible?

Mark Kelly, et al, started doing just that. It will take people who have not only the public and political reach to do so, but they’ll also need to have the stamina and funds to be put through the courts for doing it.

I am not that person, and such people may not be successful anyway. As before, either way, there will be a fight. That’s what I am prepared for.
