Seriously, unless I’m not getting something, the last two panels actively make the comic worse (by making it longer for no reason).
Without the context of the pot, the frog who doesn’t want to talk about politics could be making a reasoned argument. But seeing the pot clearly defines the metaphor and makes the joke about political aversion making a manageable situation worse.
The final panel is extra but given the popularity of TV show jokes needing punctuation by looking down the barrel of the camera, it makes sense for a middle aged artist who was raised on entertainment inspired by The Office.
Probably for people who don’t know the boiling frog metaphor, but I agree
Maybe combine the first and third panels?
