I’m sorry. Being vitriolic and spreading more hate is the only right way to react? I’m glad he is gone, and causes right wing shits like him to realise they are not immune to consequences, is great. I just hate the way people are sharing his views in the process. They are just doing his work for him.

We already knew his views were wild and insane but killing him for it was a bad idea and cruel to his family and friends (I’m guessing he had some). Metaphorically jumping up and down on his grave is just bad taste. The best thing we can do is consign him to an obscure footnote in history and desist from publishing his views for him.

edit to the replies - Holy hell this place has turned into reddit on a bad.

That is classical liberalism. It doesn’t reflect modern liberal ideals which have aligned more with socialism, and a lot of european parties regularly form coalitions with socialist or social-democratic parties because their ideals align so often in modern times.

I have news for you. The BBC isn’t a single liberal entity. Some parts are liberal for sure, but mostly it just “looks” liberal some of the time, especially the news and politics teams who essentially do whatever the current UK government wants, under threat of defunding.
