I was taught if you don’t have anything nice to say to not say anything at all. Generally if you feel the need to add “just being honest” you’re probably just being rude.

Atheism is the position that no gods exist. It doesn’t say anything about them never having existed… ^that was a joke I’m not looking to argue^
