Vladimir Putin has said any western troops placed in Ukraine would be “legitimate targets” for Russian strikes, upping the stakes as Kyiv’s allies scramble to come up with a convincing offer of postwar support to Ukraine.
Speaking a day after the French president, Emmanuel Macron, announced still-vague plans for a package of support for Ukraine backed by 26 nations, Putin on Friday said any guarantees that involved boots on the ground would violate Moscow’s longstanding objections to Nato troops in Ukraine.
“Therefore, if some troops appear there, especially now, during military operations, we proceed from the fact that these will be legitimate targets for destruction,” Putin told an economic forum in Vladivostok.
Funny. Wouldn’t that also make any russian troops placed in Ukraine “legitimate targets” (for the west)?
Yes. But guess who will shit in pants and who might actually bomb something?
Considering what Russians attacked so far, what’s not a legitimate target in Putin’s mind? Also… can you really have legitimate targets in an illegitimate war?
Do it. The only way this ends is with the demise of the Kremlin or the Ukraine.
Russia’s goal is to embroil the USA in civil war and usurp it from within MAGA. They will then leverage the US military to pincer the rest of the planet. They need to be defanged before that can happen.
There is no future where Putin has an iota of freedom and Ukraine see’s peace.

Since this week I honestly believe a big escalation and the possibility of wider conflict has arisen above the 50% threshold. And, it seems that it keeps rising steadily faster:
● The Europeans urgently asking Trump to confirm the USA backstop guarantees.
● The absance of confirmation for these guarantees by Trump and his overall stance this being Europe’s fault.
● No breakthrough in Peacetalks again!, and if anything the Russian warefforts keep intensifying.
● Putin reiterating, again, that all Western targets in Ukraine are legitimate.
