I have some services in my homelab but I never expose anything to the public. For this I have a Contabo VPS hosting a Wikipedia mirror and a XMPP server for anyone who wants to access it

For me borg is ideal. Once a month I run a backup.
Synapse was too heavy on my resources. Moved to XMPP despite I like Matrix more.
3·3 days agoSo cool! I love Silverstone cases, they’re really made for homelabbers. I have a ML05 that contains 6 hard disks (2,5") in the size of a PlayStation. Spent just 30€ (35$) for one on Facebook marketplace, new.

manpages are as useful as an Analytical mechanics textbook for someone who just wants to drive. Like yes, sure, it’s amazing we have such a detailed documentation but for God’s sake just introduce basic usages first
