It’s meaning can vary based on the ideology of the user, but in my experience it’s usually someone who supports authoritarian regimes because of a veneer of communism. Usually Soviet Russia (especially the Stalin era) or modern China. I think the term comes from how these regimes like to show power with tanks.

I’m nearly 30 but it’s very fun to get caught up in a fad! I heard some people talking about the Q10 and thought it sounded so cute. It’s hard to articulate why but getting into photography by buying a tiny camera that’s no longer made and only ever had 8 lenses is very much the vibe I want.
