Honestly, many friends who live in other towns I stay in touch with using messanger so theoretically I could disable Facebook and keep messenger but Facebook is more for former work colleagues that I occasionally say hi to. It would have been a lot easier if i could just have WhatsApp with timeline and marketplace.

I’d love to delete/suspend my Facebook but unfortunately it is the only conctact I have for many ex work colleagues and some friends.

Good, people need realise AI is not intelligent. It’s like a program that has memorised millions of books, some truths some fiction but doesnt really have the intellectual capacity to distinguish truth from fiction

I agree with everyone else. The only thing that A(Non)I is good for is writing bullshit and making it sound intelligent, however deep inside there is no intelligence but all artificial. It’s semi useful for background research because of its ability to index huge amounts of data but ultimately everything it makes has to be verified by a human.

I grew up in Czechoslovakia and Australia, more Australia really. There might be a genuine reason why google is doing it or not. Most things require an identity these days. You cant drive without an identity , you can’t purchase alcohol without an one, of open a bank account. Where does your privacy feeling stand there I suppose you don’t have any of that? I’m actually amazed with so much fraud on the internet governments don’t require an ID to open a browser on your PC. Isn’t internet like a network of highways really ?

I guess I was brought up believing that if you do nothing wrong, theres no point hiding your identity.

I’m fine knowing the person who wrote the code of the app that I am about to install has had courage to identify themselves.

As a user I don’t have a problem with this , as long it’s used ethically. The question is if Google can act ethically.
