I had amazing ramen in Estonia. It was run by a Japanese lady though so I’m not sure that counts.

Can you describe how they were if that’s your proposition?
Because no, they weren’t social democrats in any meaningful way and even a basic understanding of their economic policy would tell you that.

I just discovered this yesterday and went all the way down that rabbit hole. Holy moly they are really trying to beat down on the guy trying to do the right thing. That police department is NASTY.
It looks like he has some good lawyers coming his way though. Looking forward to the second part of the civil rights lawyer’s video (and part three of his own).

No they don’t provide weapons. They’re selling weapons to Europe who provide weapons.
That’s like saying the supermarket provides food to the poor instead of the soup kitchen.
The Riva line were absolute bangers tbh. Mad props to the driver developers who were always playing catch-up on the hardware (mad props to the hardware designers implied) but always delivered the goods. I honestly hope they’re rich AF.

Another thing after talking to my wife is that there are a lot of large American families and children vie for the attention of others, which means having to speak up and over their siblings which sort of trains us to be that way.
Mmmm, it’s a theory I suppose but I have a large family. Our dinner table is busy but not loud (except with raucous laughter which is semi frequently in fairness). Cross conversations go on all the time, it’s just the nature of lots of people at a table.
My own experience with American tourists is that it’s a volume thing. Interestingly I don’t recall noticing it as much while visiting the states but definitely slightly louder than other cultures.
Sounds like you won’t have any issue anyway.
Good luck with the move! I’ve never heard anyone come back from Australia with a bad word to say about it and lots of my fellow countryfolk do a year there (including my sister and bestie).

It’s about 200,000 years saving 10k per day now. He’s rapidly approaching a trillion in net worth.

I teach all of my kids that “no” is a complete sentence. I want them to be very conscious of consent, but I also want them all to respect their own wishes.
Unrelated, I also teach them all how to throw a good punch and keep their god damned hands up and chin down as soon as I think they have enough self control not to abuse it.

Married 23 years. Not interested in other women but I find women generally to be beautiful. It’s like looking at art to me. Every painting has It’s own beauty. It’s just nice to look and appreciate then move on with my day.

According to Gametime, the get-in price for Thursday’s night Knicks game against the Cleveland Cavaliers will cost you $740.
Presume “get-in price” means absolute minimum?

He is sorry. Sorry he got caught.

I can’t think of a single job it can replace.
Me either and I don’t think it ever will reach that. We’re already seeing diminishing returns.
The thing is it doesn’t need to replace a full job. If it improves productivity by 10% then that’s the number that will either lose their job or just not get hired in the first place.
I’m sure these are very worrying times for folks in college, especially computer science and the arts.
UBI seems like the only long term solution to me.
Great movie. Emma Stone is on fire at the moment and Jessie Plemons needs to be in more movies.

I agree generally but this isn’t used for small sums. You’re talking hundreds of thousands / millions in highly visible ill gotten gains for it to be deployed.
And I think 10k is a bullshit amount for this new law. People buy cars second hand all the time with cash fully legit.

The trouble with that is it can be very hard to actually prove for known scumbags. I live in a small country and they have a “criminal assets bureau” which can bring folks in massive houses with fancy cars and expensive watches to court and the burden of proof is lower.
It basically boils down to “there’s no way this cunt can legally afford all this” then it gets seized.
Before it was created you had criminal kingpins showing up to pick up their dole (social security) weekly while raking in massive money criminally.
It’s not abused like that eminent domain thing in the US is though. There’s still court required.

Twice. Once for the launch of the GameCube which had a midnight launch. There was essentially no queue for that
Second was in the run up to Christmas. We do one big present for each kid at some point and I had to queue for a very limited number of PS3’s in the country from about 3am. We knew there were some coming to a local store but it was very limited.
Nearly got in a fisticuffs with an attempted queue skipper. Prick. He was behind me so it didn’t directly affect me and he kept saying as much and telling me to relax but fuck that for a game of soldiers. I wasn’t going to let him steal someone else’s further back.

Definitely wasteful to convert. I’m guessing the hydrogen is a store for when waves aren’t wavey.

Thanks for posting these. I’ve seen a few from you recently.
Some of the larger disposables do have a charging port. I guess it allows them ship a smaller battery which is good
