Ah shit it’s på Danish. Dansk Twitch streamer, kom og vær med til at snakke om børneopdragelse og filosofi mens vi gamer!

Norwegians, and Danes for now but they plan to slowly open for more countries. Sweden next.
The platform is called “Hudd”. It’s more locally minded, has no algorithms determining your feed, and is actually trying to focus on creating social relationships. I kind of like it, and have gotten my mom and dad on board.
It’s kind of amazing how calm European alternatives can be, without the constant rage bait engagements, and the shit-flinging. It’s a lot like how Facebook used to be in the early days, where people just shares a picture of a sunset, or describe how their day is, or shares photos from a vacation.
I might move on to others if better ones come along, but we’ll see. There are going to be a lot of them popping up now, because the market is most definitely there.

I sure as hell trust EU consumer protections over american nonsense, and I will be creating a profile there. I’ve already opened an account on a norweagian based social media, that is slowly growing.
I doubt any of these will explode over night, but an alternative is more than welcome.

I think this is unfortunately a fair assesment, speaking as a Dane. They want independence, but with a territory under so much pressure, it is unfortunately looking less and less feasible in practice.
What is worse is that right now they feel completely sidelined, as per Danish national media. They see the American propagonda machine throwing out that a deal has been made, and they feel betrayed, left out, in the cold, unsure of their future.
One thing is for sure though: we will not compromise on their land and their right to decide their own future. It’s a wild and weird situation. 1/3 of Greenlanders also live in Denmark, and vice versa, looking at the news while two small countries try to cement some sort or deal through high level negotiation.
For now it’s probably best kept out of media though so our countries can figure it out without the orange clown dancing on our doorstep.

Our Danish company Ørsted which produces wind power, has been in a huge legal dispute with the American administration for months over this. He wants oil, even if wind is cheaper:

The only ethical way to consume american digital products is through piracy.
Might have to be a saving throw actually
I’ve played dungeons and dragons a lot. Does that count?
I put on my wizards hat
Edit: God, I realized that the joke I referenced is so old and niche by now in internet culture I have to provide a link: https://www.albinoblacksheep.com/text/bloodninja

Oh I wish those were still around here. As a kid, we had an actual mom and pop owned cornershop. I went there as a kid one time to buy my dad cigarettes, and back then people knew each other and they’d call my home line asking if I was allowed.
Shop closed because the gas station opened their own competing store, and a big brand supermarket moved in. These days I’d kill to be able to walk into a small store nearby and be able to grab locally grown produce and walk out of there.
I have started getting my groceries delivered. It is more expensive but worth the tradeoff to me. I’d rather cut down on my expensive habits, than spend half an hour dodging the public at rush hour, just to get it a bit cheaper.

Here in Denmark we have “kammerjunker” which is basically a kind of dry sugary biscuit thing, you put on top of … Well, forget it. Point is that when it’s not in season, every Danish person has a bag of these things in the cupboard:

No, they are not meant to be eaten like this straight out of the bag. But when you’re high, straight out of the bag is heaven.

Yeah, I know it didn’t really bring a whole lot to the discussion. I guess I’m just frustrated with politics in general. I do still stand by my point about Putin and Trump liking such a guy though.

As a European, I think the EU needs to wake up and become more willing to act geopolitically. It needs to take charge, and have a structure which allows it to make strong authoritative decisions, that will enable EU’s future as the third superpower nestled between Russia and the US. We need a single strong leader to do it, someone who can really challenge Putin and Trump, isn’t afraid to yell, to be threatening, and dominate. Our leader should be similar: A kind of people’s man, a man who can bring our culture back to its former glory, maybe from a small nation like Austria who actually can sway public opinion through strong speeches.
I can see the exact person vividly in my mind. As I concentrate on his image, I think I can even make out what kind of beard he has. Certainly, Trump and Putin would respect such a man.

I had a Fairphone 3, but ran into a lot of problems with the phone suddenly shutting down on its own. I hadn’t fiddled with it at all, and I couldn’t find much advice apart from “Try pulling it apart, cleaning it, and putting it back together again”.
I really love the concept though, but I’m worried my bank and government identification won’t work on Fairphone now.

Used to be called OpenOffice back in the day. At least the name change made sense.

I’m Danish, and I’d like to believe that the rest of EU would at least impose harsh sanctions, but I’m beginning to worry that there won’t even be a strongly worded social media post.

I once interviewed the former chancellor of West Germany, Helmut Schmidt, on a stage in Hamburg Schauspielhaus in front of thousands. It was also on TV.

I think it’s quite important from the perspective of media preservation. We basically have a snapshot of music from a time where it was mostly Human-Made.
We all have to change now.
