Why? Shouldn’t they be standing upright in the corner of whatever room one enters when they come through your front door??
What dark corners of the internet do you frequent? 😟
May I ask what country?
I’ve seen jack-o’-lanterns in the UK, US, Germany and France, but I haven’t travelled to most of the world and it’s hard to get reliable info about what holidays are celebrated in different countries and how people decorate
Andrew Beveridge@sh.itjust.workstoPhotography@lemmy.world•16mm lens vs 1000mm lens, same object12·29 days agoIt’s just the built in camera zoom; I was never suggesting it’s an alternative to a real camera lens but for a phone the results are still pretty impressive, even if they’re achieved with local AI or whatever
Andrew Beveridge@sh.itjust.workstoPhotography@lemmy.world•16mm lens vs 1000mm lens, same object13·29 days agoYeah everything is wobbly (but usually legible). This was a 2 drinks in shit post rage bait tbh but I do still enjoy the phone camera 🤷

Andrew Beveridge@sh.itjust.worksto Technology@lemmy.world•This is the technology worth trillions of dollars huhEnglish6·1 month agoThanks for sharing! I clicked on it with cynicism around how easily we could detect AI usage with confidence vs. risking making false allegations, but every single example on their homepage is super clear and I have no doubts - I’m impressed! (and disappointed)
I bought a 2 bedroom single family home in South Carolina last year for $86k with only $11k down, 7 minute drive from the city center of the capital city (Columbia). Mortgage is $480/mo. Cheap houses absolutely still exist if you’re willing to live in areas where “nobody wants to live”
I don’t have any personal advice to offer but I have a consumer reports subscription so I pasted your message into the CR apps chat feature in case it might help you; here’s the response:
If you want a reliable food processor that can whip up hummus quickly and comes with multiple options or attachments—without sacrificing performance—we’ve got a few top picks from our latest CR tests.
Our staff consistently recommends the Cuisinart Pro Custom 11 DLC-8S. It has an 11-cup capacity, separate slicing and shredding discs, and excellent ratings for chopping, slicing, and shredding. It’s also quiet and dishwasher-safe, making cleanup easy. There were no notable flaws in its performance, and it’s built to last with a 3-year motor warranty.
If you want something with a few more bells and whistles, the Breville The Paradice 9 BFP638 offers a dough blade, dicing kit, and organizer, plus a 30-year motor warranty.
Both models are versatile, reliable, and should make hummus with ease. For more tips, check out our Food Processor & Chopper Buying Guide.
