I took it as a given that Trump get a third term on November 5th, 2024. I’ve been saying that this was the case for so long, and only now is it really sinking in with people. That election was game over for American liberalism; the Democrats blew it and now they aren’t even pretending like they can fix things

It’s because Trump is ideologically opposed to backing up any allies unless they’re punching someone he dislikes more. If Israel wasn’t genociding brown people or if the gulf states didn’t vibe so much with his type of capitalism, he wouldn’t give a shit about them. If he can’t bully you or bully others with you, you’re worthless to him.

In my experience, it depends on if they genuinely hate all men or not. When you see the opposite gender as an enemy you need to defeat, you stop seeing them as people. From there, it’s easy to apply that toxicity to other people of your gender that you see as traitors to your cause. You start to judge everyone by their adherence to gender roles, even if you see yourself as smarter than others who uphold the patriarchy. That is the nature of an incel regardless of if their gender.

That said, I anecdotally find that sapphics are rarely incels, even if they get no bitches. It’s easier to not be consumed by your resentment of men when you don’t even need date them (note, that this is distinctly different from political lesbians who are only sapphic for ideological reasons; those people are trash). Even if one casually thinks all men are trash, they aren’t forced into conflict with men unless those men approach them first. I suspect it’s the same with gay men who are lonely; even when they are misogynistic, it’s not as much of a problem.

I may be poly, but if I was in a relationship with the expectation of monogamy, I’d feel betrayed if they then broke that expectation without telling me. The problem wouldn’t be that they slept with someone, the problem would be that they lied. They would be free to be with whoever they want, but all of my relationships are contingent on open communication. If that communication isn’t there, then the agreement is broken.

The only thing that can stop the current administration is Trump’s death. I’m not even advocating for anything; it’s just a cold hard truth I’ve known since November 5, 2024. It doesn’t matter how the elections go this year, because if it ever becomes a problem for them, congress would be suspended with the support of the oligarchs. He is king, and there is no way to challenge a king except real power.

I’m also not saying that Trump’s death would be a quick fix, just a necessary step. The only advantage we have is that Vance is weak by design and would not be able to hold the coalition of oligarchs and fascist foot soldiers together on his own merits. However, if anybody to the left of a white cishet conservative liberal assassinated Trump, then the fascists would rally behind Vance until he enacted revenge and the Democrats would help them.

The only other thing that would create problems for them is if a broad coalition of people from leftists to liberals organized a serious insurgency against the government. They could undermine critical industries and governmental functions, slowing down the state’s tyranny in specific, tangible ways. However, the vast majority of liberals are ideologically opposed to non state violence and don’t accept that the country is that far gone. If there is insufficient support, the public will cheer on the fascists violently cracking down on the left because “don’t ya know, antifa just as bad as the Gestapo putting brown people in camps!” America is truly the home of the chained and land of cowardly 🙄
