Videos@lemmy.world•The Gooniversary - Channel 5 with Andrew Callaghan [24:37]
2·30 days agoWas he naked or did he have underwear on?
Edit: Asked that question 10 seconds into the video and have now had the chance to watch the whole thing. Looks like nobody knows.
Drop by drop into the dipstick tube?
You do realize that modern EVs (and the appropriate charging infrastructure) can charge 10-80% in less than half an hour, after hours of driving?
But it’s got Viggo.

For me, it’s “Slurpnik”. You’ll have to ask Vlad or Igor what it means, I guess.
It’s widely agreed upon that the original fresco was not particularly valuable or artistically remarkable. It’s not like somebody messed up the Mona Lisa or a Rembrandt. If I ever happen to be in the area, I’m definitely going to see the thing in person. It’s become quite a tourist magnet, and the town is happy about it.
I hated Stavros and I miss Nick.

2·2 months agoHow mich did she make to be able to pay for that much gas and wear’n’tear in the vehicle? If I had to drive that much, I probably wouldn’t be doing anything but repair my car whenever I’m not at work.

6·3 months agoFor me, it would be a great option if my B450 board goes belly up. I have 32 gig of DDR4 installed and would prefer to keep the system operational for a couple more years with the 5700X3D.
That said, I don’t quite see why they need to introduce new boards for AM4. Inexpensive B550 has been around for quite a while now.

I hate to pull the “You Yanks still have it cheap” card, but I just did the math for my car, assuming 10,000 km (6k miles) annually and a generous 8 liters (29 mpg?) fuel consumption. At current gas prices (2€ per liter), that’s slightly under 800 Euros per year that the state collects at the pump (gas tax, CO2 surcharge, VAT adding up to at least half the price of gas). In addition, 135 € per year flat tax to have the car registered.
That said, the idea that you have to pay a penalty tax for driving a EV while the brodozers don’t is, well… idiotic.
