With Linux, you can actually take out software you don’t truly need. With Windows, most of the time you’ll only just disable it and only remove a handful of software. Microsoft gives you the illusion of owning your PC.

It starts becoming an issue though because of what I mentioned about what Valve does with Steam. For the longest time, people used Windows XP out of protest because they didn’t like Vista or they’ll use 7 out of protest for 8.1 or even 10. Then Valve one day decided to axe Windows XP support for Steam. Then they did it for Windows 7, 8 and 8.1.

We see this happen all of the time with browsers, there will eventually become a point where you have to force yourself to either upgrade or jump ship.

For me it’s not about whether it is more work or not. It is more along the lines of, tolerating microsoft’s bullshit for any longer. Windows 10 in more ways than one, has teetered me towards the edge of switching. Because I hate stupid mandatory updates, I hate how insultingly stupid it is to use a Windows system these days and every dumb decision Microsoft has made that has turned Windows into what it is and what it will be in the future.

I won’t mind a little work to use my machine, long as it frees me from all of that bullshit.

Okay so the problem with space travel is numerous and I don’t believe we’ll see anything beyond reaching Mars and the Moon in our lifetime.

First thing, we need everyone on board to back NASA and be intelligent enough to figure out where exactly what we want to do. We keep finding these earth-like exoplanets, so why not start there?

The other thing is, to achieve the level of space travel we need, on the levels of where Voyager-1 and Voyager-2 is going in length of space, we’d need to spend significant time and resources building the materials and ships needed for that kind of travel.

Like I said, this won’t be done in our lifetime. We’re probably several lifetimes out.

I actually want to drive a 1977 Pontiac Trans Am. Problem is, I can’t drive stick to save my life and it’s a vehicle I’d only love to drive during spring/summer/autumn but tuck it away from winters. In a better life, I’d have both vehicles to meet the demands.

My GaiaOnline account, created in May 2007, still stands. I can’t log into it anymore, but its presence still lingers on the site.

Everything else I’ve known prior to that, is now lost to time.

Watching TV and movies.

I just simply do not do that anymore and I’m not counting YouTube as watching anything. I’ve squandered so many subscriptions to streaming services, bought so many DVDs from thrifting and all. All for it to never be watched.

I’ll add reading books too.

I didn’t start caring about politics until the late 2000s. When I learned about how bad George W Bush was, it gave me a hint. Politics to me growing up, was just simply background noise, something I could ignore. It was until within Obama’s second term that I started to really see what was happening, so this was about 26 for me. Then 2016 since, I would say that my trust in the government has all but been broken and that was even before Trump had his first term.

I wish I knew. Sounds to me that society is compromised of sadists and masochists in the closet to allow so much to be taken away from them.

Monster Javas.

It’s the only Monster-related drink I’ll have, not a fan of the other flavored energy drinks they have or even the original energy drink. I have gone about 2 - 3 weeks without a can, it has helped some but when I have a can, it is a nice kick up in energy. Prolonged periods though tend to bring an energy crash.

Technically speaking, it is illegal to even save images you find online to your PC.

However, because that billions of people do it, it is not enforced much less, not even talked about. However, I’d like to clarify that the only time you may run afoul with it, is if you find yourself at odds with a very uptight stock image site like Shutterstock. Simply because they charge money, quite expensively I’ll add, just to use stock images. They don’t like people finding ways to download stock images from their service.

I too felt like Gold and Silver was the pinnacle peak of Pokemon popularity. The games were fantastic. The closest I got to playing Pokemon similarly to how I did back then was the remakes of Gold and Silver for the DS.

Generation III, Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald, really dulled the franchise as they were trying a lot of new things. Which really felt like a throw-anything-at-the-wall-see-what-sticks way to go about it, only Pokemon.

And granted that Generation IV, Diamond/Pearl/Platinum, did fire up that spark again but it only felt like things tapered off once we moved on from that generation.

Or so you’d love to believe because I’m sure you have a short-length reach of history.
