He basically capitulated to the claims that “Democrats supporting trans rights have caused them to lose support”.
That’s not even me excusing him. It’s pointing out that he’s spineless and caves under pressure, which might be even more important than whether he supports trans rights.
The issue probably comes with determining which major organizations are knowledgable about guns…and then which of those organizations you’d trust.
If there are regulations, unfortunately someone has to administer them. Juries make decisions regarding cases, but cases only arise through police action; and court systems are already overloaded without handling firearm permits for individuals.
I get the impression they were also preparing for a potential freak discovery where it turns out zero G has an extreme effect on the menstrual cycle, and they suddenly need a lot of them.
The way this is treated reminds me of the South Park episode.
