This whole „holier than thou“ thing amounts to nothing. The guardian consistently outputs correct, progressive takes on the stage of the world, as one of the very few well known international newspapers.

Not all of them. The german public broadcasting companies are supposed to be „neutral“ and are state funded. And they are normalizing this shit too.

I think it’s especially the traditional media that carries some trust that breaks the camel‘s back: we know that the tabloid press shits out one inflammatory headline after another; but when the „serious“ media picks it up, that’s when these opinions become mainstream.

One of the only countries having a left (ie., sane) government. They even have a wealth tax.

Wealth tax is very popular across voters. Now is the time to push for it.

1. Zack doesn’t have to be elected to push the Overton window on this. Look at what Farage accomplished over the last years, and he got his first MP, when, a year ago or so?

2. we need to be compassionate with each other. Remember that reform voters get propaganda served all day every day, and so it’s natural for them to accept it at some point. Don’t hate the people for it when they can barely feed their kids.

3. the right has a very compelling story: your living conditions are bad because of the foreigners. They keep telling that story again and again, and on a superficial level it seems to make sense. We need an alternative, positive story that is forward looking. How do we want our future to look like?

You can stop them. They don’t control democracy … yet.

Friendly reminder that Spain is one of the few countries with a wealth tax. That’s why they are economically prospering right now.
