Was it before or after they bought the government, got private armies and bunkers?

Surprisingly few people get jokes in shitpost community.
I don’t believe you. You’re just saying that to make me look bad.
I know, good for you!
Yes, go for it. They have huge resources they can spend on security and the state will protects them with everything they have but I’m sure you, ordinary citizen, can “hurt” them. And once they are “hurt” they will voluntarily relinquish their wealth and power and start working with you to stop climate change. I’m sure of it.
Everyone knows the reference, no need to post it.
So here’s the thing: when the next heatwave hits it’s not Infatino’s kids that will sit in a 40 degree classroom and cry for their moms, your kids will. When the next forest fire razes some village it’s not Infatino that will be left homeless, you will. When drought hits they will not cut water to Inantino’s home, they will cut your water.
Infantino doesn’t care about his carbon footprint because whatever happens he will be fine. It’s all of us, poor people, that will suffer the consequences. Not limiting your emissions because “the rich are not doing their part” will only hurt you, not the rich.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•why is it okay to curse out anybody from any religion and call them slurs dedicated to that religion except Islam?
3·2 days agoThat’s not what I asked. Why do you think it’s OK to use slurs in this situation and not in others? Because of upvotes? Because you reported it and some comments were removed but others weren’t? Because of some written rules?
Where do you see those discussions? I don’t think I have ever seen people discuss religion on lemmy. We probably follow different communities. What communities are you talking about?

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Why doesn't the US as an country have bullet trains?
9·2 days agoThis. Other countries build trains as public infrastructure. US and UK try to build bullet trains as scheme to pump public money into private construction companies. The money gets stolen and nothing is built.

Privacy@programming.dev•Microsoft admits Windows 11 has a GDID tracker with no off switch, first documented publicly in an FBI hacker complaint
7·3 days agoMy guess is oauth. He basically used fake Microsoft account to access services during the hack and them used his actual microsoft account to access something else. He used VPN for the hack but he connected from his actual IP to the second service. The only thing linking those was the GID. So they figured out his actual IP address and checked other logins from this IP around the same time and found out his other accounts.
Southern Spain.
I used to hike or cycle after work in summer. Now I do it less but not because of the heat. In the evening you can still do those things. In winter it get dark to fast.
Summer
The Good:
- longer days, lots of time after work for outdoor activities
- relax in the sun
- fresh fruit
- more cultural activities
- swim in the see
The Bad:
- hot
Winter
The Good:
- not hot
The Bad:
- more rain
- drive to/from work when it’s still dark
- depressing

Europe@feddit.org•Is an air-conditioning revolution coming to Europe?English
2·4 days agoThe naming is confusing here. In Spain the difference between AC and ‘aerotermia’ is that the second one heats water. This is the “heat pump” revolution here. Many people already use AC for heating but they have gas or electric boilers to heat water. Heatpumps are way more efficient here. When you say ‘heatpump’ you mean something that replaces a furnace? Something you plug into central heating system that heats the water and distributes it to the radiators?

Europe@feddit.org•Is an air-conditioning revolution coming to Europe?English
1·4 days agoFair enough. That’s roughly 350 million people. You said 50% of people in EU live in apartments so what you said applies to about 170 million people. That’s ~1/3 of EU. I would say ~2/3 of people getting AC and/or heatpumps still counts as a revolution. But that’s nitpicking and really besides the point. Some people will not be able to upgrade, sure. Some people will install AC in their apartment and use it for heating during winter as pretty much all units they sell now do both. New buildings may also adapt to the new reality and stop installing building wide heating systems, even in the countries you listed. I think it’s obvious things will change and even if half of Europe will not be affected for now it doesn’t mean some sort of revolution is not happening.
