And yet our scumbag “leaders” claim we have it “too good” and continue fighting against worker protections… I wish I could leave lol

It’s not illegal in the US unfortunately. We clock out and can leave if we want but we have to clock back in after 45 mins. I think the only legal requirement is that there is time allowed for a break after x number of hours worked but it doesn’t have to be paid.

I wish my job would do this but not only do they refuse, we don’t even do the 7.5 x5 we do 8.75 x5 and 45min unpaid lunch so we’re at exactly 40 hours…

I can’t do either…
Weed started giving me massive panic attacks and alcohol gives me insomnia… I have to suffer this shit reality sober lol

I just want to back up I_Fart_Glitter here and say I absolutely read this as they said:
“I think they were referring more to “magically becoming a conservative MAGAT.” They are famous for not caring about issues unless they’re directly affected and being quite callous up until that point.”
I didn’t read this as any kind of attack on people who take antidepressants, their statement about “how some people already have it” matches my experience with the MAGA people in my life. They couldn’t possibly care any less about people suffering unless it affects them directly. They even enjoy the suffering of those they see as political enemies.
Future archeologist trying to carbon date my pan:
“WTF is this thing!? There are so many different layers of carbon!”
The Vietnam bit is funny to me because I actually knew a girl that was also incredibly attractive, but believed firmly that the Vietnam war never happened lol

For the most part yeah. Depending on what the item was I have a pretty good idea what I would have done with it. I’m one of those messy organized types where everything has a spot, but that spot might not be the most presentable lol
For everyday things like my wallet and keys there is only one place they could be, unless I accidentally left it in my pants pockets.

Most of the time I don’t know what I’m walking into so I’d walk in and do a diagnosis first then have to go back and get the heavy equipment/parts. There were probably a few times I could have done that after diagnosis, but I always feared losing the spot I found and making it worse lol

I’m glad people like you are out there!
My 2 story’s are nowhere near as great as this but I’ll share anyway lol
The first was working in a supermarket: I hated working at the register, I need to move around, I can’t be stuck in one spot for hours on end. I had tried to get reassigned to another department so I could be more active so I ask the manager if anything has changed and if I could be moved. This sonofabitch actually says this “I’m going to do with you what I do with my kids, I know you really don’t like the register so you’re going to stay there.”
Ok. I grabbed my drawer, handed it in, and walked out.
The second was working as a service technician years later. I had to go to NYC very often and parking succccks there, I usually have to park blocks and blocks away from where I need to be and carry heavy equipment back and forth. Occasionally you’ll be in a timed spot and might not make it back in time and get a ticket, the boss never paid those tickets they were on me for choosing the spot, fine. One day I looked for 15 minutes for a spot and couldn’t find anything, so I parked in a restaurant parking lot that wasn’t going to open for 3 hours. 20 minutes later I get a call from my office that they’re going to tow the van if I don’t come get it… $300 for them to not tow the van. By that point I probably had already paid $3000 in tickets, most of which I really didn’t have a choice, it was carry 50-100 lbs for 30+ mins each way, or eat a ticket. That was the final straw. I absolutely hate driving as it is especially in the overpopulated shithole I live in.

I can’t help much if you don’t like to eat the same thing, because I’m more of a “eat to live” kind of person lol
I basically get chicken, mixed vegetables, a bean that I’ll change up every now and then, and mushrooms. Toss that in a slow cooker with whatever seasoning matches the bean I chose well and I eat that for lunch every day for the week.
I guess you could break it up into 2 cooks and make a different style for the second batch so you’re not having the same thing, or have it with rice as well/instead.

My current “feed” couldn’t have been set up better.

Countdown to MAGA outrage…

I did and the results were kinda hilarious.
I was working as a technician at the time and went to a theater I wasn’t familiar with, I needed to use the bathroom and saw a few people cleaning so I asked them if the knew where the bathroom was.
“No ingles, no ingles!”
Oh good I can try my Spanish! “Donde estas el bano?”
“No ingles, no ingles!”
…but I’m speaking Spanish now… Lol

“Eureka! I have invented the self-ketchuping french fry!”
Same. Used Reddit Is Fun for like 11 years or something. Haven’t looked back. The most I’ll do is search for an answer for something and check a reddit thread if it shows up in the results.
…why did I read the comments there… It’s always painful… Fucking mouths full of boots there.
Nah, if that were the case I’d be Twelve.
She literally looks like “cartoon evil.” Like some Disney villain straight out of a movie… Gotta look the part I guess.
It’s making hobbyist computing expensive, it’s potentially eliminating some of the few actually enjoyable jobs (art, creative works), it’s making websites and applications less secure with vibe coding, and it’s allowing for even more convincing propaganda/bad faith actors to manipulate entire populations…
But hey, at least Elon Musk gets to make naked pictures of kids and still be a billionaire. So there’s that.
