India’s Modri has been saying that his country will continue to buy Russian crude and opposes sanctions against the regime in Moscow. The country’s open support for Russia in its war against Ukraine is certainly not as strong as China’s, but it’s still a strong issue. All this doesn’t seem to help if India seeks a free trade agreement with the EU.
