    While the point is absolutely fair to make, I have a hard time taking Proton seriously after their leadership came out in support of orangeboi, and then the organization didn’t really even try to walk any of that back, or distance themselves from it.

      he wasn’t supporting trump, he was agreeing with one specific policy choice he made that would help reduce big tech influence. Andy has no history of being a Maga supporter and even today, he posts only progressive stuff

      Looks like they would rather move their business out of Switzerland than comply with this, so presumably you’re good at least until the same thing happens EU-wide…

    Proton has already begun to cut some ties with Switzerland over "legal uncertainty." Lumo is the first product to change home, with Germany currently hosting its servers.

    The company has also confirmed it’s developing facilities in Norway, while investing over €100 million to build a “sovereign European stack” for its services, ensuring it “can’t be held hostage by Switzerland” if the laws change for the worse.
