Chinese carmaker takes market share despite being shut out of subsidy scheme

The UK has become BYD’s biggest market outside of China after sales increased nearly 10-fold in September, despite the world’s largest electric-vehicle manufacturer being excluded from the government’s new subsidy scheme.

    I saw one yesterday, an Atto 3 and I burst out laughing. You know how most cars will have the logo or name in the middle of the boot lid and the model somewhere off to the side? Well it had ‘BYD Atto 3’ in the bottom right but under the window was a massive ‘BUILD YOUR DREAMS’ and all I could think of is if The Range made a car… It is all a bit too ‘live laugh love’ for me to take seriously. If they make a model with it it in a curly loopy font then I’m done lol

      I see them around all the time these days. I wouldn’t dream of buying a car that says ‘build your dreams’ on it but that’s not on all models.
