I haven’t been playing in years and this is shocking to me. Like, people pay almost six times as much for mobile games than for PC games? The mobile games I used to play were all simple and free (yes, I do think about Snake, among others).
Probably includes all the lootbox/dlc addictive crap they put in mobile games. Some people spend thousands on this trash.
How the fuck is that not illegal (or just labeled gambling and regulated the same way) is beyond me.
Because you can’t make money. The moment you buy the in-game currency you spent money with not way of getting it back. The gacha has no remuneration, it’s just to have a better experience in the game.
And to be fair all mobile games that use this hunt for so-called whales. Those do 90% of the spending.
