    Heard of Vasily Arkhipov? Stannislav Petrov?

    Jeez. I can’t believe history doesn’t teach us of these people. I just read how they prevented what would probably have been nuclear anihilation.

    My theory is there are 100s of timelines where humanity nuked itself. 100s of timelines where I was never born, or got kidnapped during that “running away” incident, or got murdered by my brother during a fight, or died of suicide.

    Hell, those timelines could’ve been on different planets with completely different human equivalents. It’s not even too science - fiction to believe that, it’s fully reasonable.
