As a Brit, I would happily deal with changing to the Euro to get back into the EU.
It was always a minority that wanted out. They were just particularly loud and motivated. I know several pro-EU people who didn’t vote, because it wasn’t worth the effort. The result was obvious. They were shocked afterwards. Unfortunately, by the point the damage was done, and the political class ran with it like a fat kit with a huge bag of sweets.

And it was also fed by bad faith actors trying to undermine both the UK and the EU.
I look forward to the day the UK can correct that horrible mistake.
