I don’t mean like how happy you are today. I mean overall, are you satisfied with everything you are up until this point? For me, for an example, I have a decent job that keeps my head just above water. I have a loving family that I see every couple months or weeks. I have the freedom to do what I want, when I want. But, overall, I’m sort of lonely and exhausted from constantly working. So, on a scale of 1 to 10, I’m about a 6.

I mean im fine with what I chose given the options I have had and the information I based it on but I just don’t like the world. It just has not been going in the right direction and moreso the older I get. I feel like the us was at one point leading the way with social security, 40 hour work week, minimum wage, and child labor limits but then dropped the ball on healthcare big time and we actually stunted more progressive societies because of our influence. I think I would be pretty happy if social democracy dominated post world war 2 and was common by now but I don’t see the world changing enough for me to be happy even if I personally am doing all right at any particular time.
