I got Kotor 2 on android and it’s teh funs.

I’m restarting as this man character because the character Handmaiden wouldn’t join me as a woman and no matter how good relationship I got with any female character, no romance.

I looked it up and kotor 1, an ancient game, ‘accidentally’ had one potential lesbian relationship in which it seems they tried to erase the romance before release but didnt get all of it so one or two romance options still existed woman to woman.

kotor 2 tho they thoroughly made nonlgbtq and no options anywhere for anything lgbtq.

So kotor 2 is from a while ago and now games are often more lgbtq friendly.

thinking tho it’s interesting how, because there are no options for woman x woman, if i want to have the option of relationships with women, i am forced to not be Lesbian but actually Transman.

Hence the topic. I would be more comfortable just being woman romancing women. But, because of the transphobia underlying the game, I am actually forced to take on a masculine identity for those relationships I want. It feels weird; like, because they removed all avenues for transpeople to be themselves, the only way to be near who i want is to go extra far and masculinize myself, as a woman, beyond what I normally would. Like they try to block trans but, in so doing, they reinforce it more powerfully. Same would be true were i a gay man. If i want male romance options, i cant just be gay; i also have to present female.

playing this game knowing what i do now, it feels like restriction of lgbtq instead reinforces it harder. Is this a more widespread facet of antiLGBTQ structures? only in digital roleplaying? meow?
