Riot police in Novi Sad broke up a student-led protest on Friday night in an unprecedented, violent assault on peaceful protesters. Is the Serbian president trying to cement full control and crush dissent by force?
This guy should step down and the EU should stand up against him. Hope that the new gen Serbians can open a new fresh chapter in their history.
He ain’t going of his own will. The EU is keeping quiet. The people are revolting, but no one is on their side. The people have been disappointed by the EU turining their head around to our struggle, because Vucic has promised them lots of things. The people will win eventually, but the public opinion of EU will be forever marred by their inaction. Then, someone else will swoop in and get the people’s approval an the EU is of course not gonna like it.
Quick reminder that Vucic’s friendship with China is helpful here. Serbia expands Chinese-made surveillance system amid protests against Vučić regime with surveillance technology, primarily from Chinese makers Dahua and Hikvision, being widespread in Serbia.
