Veronica uses OBS for capturing footage, Kdenlive for video editing, and Inkscape for thumbnails. The video itself is just a quick rundown on the apps and how they can be used in Linux for these tasks.

Hmm. I thought kdenlive was a bit lackluster, but if Veronica can do it, it’s definitely doable for the little shit I do

It actually gets better by the minute, 2 years ago things were very gruesome if you wanted more complex stuff but for the needs of a non premier youtuber i found nothing amiss

What made you think it was lackluster? It has suited my needs pretty well, so I’m wondering, were there any specific areas you felt it was lacking? Not arguing, genuinely curious about your opinion.

It just doesn’t feel as powerful as Adobe Premiere, but maybe it is and I haven’t played around long enough to learn about it.

I haven’t used Premier so I don’t have a frame of reference but I wouldn’t be surprised if it wasn’t quite as polished.

All great programs, although I like Shotcut for video editing.
