      Well, that too, but honestly not by all that much. The 24.000 chips use at max about a kilowatt each. So 24.000 kW, which is about equal to 8000 houses.

      OpenAI is planning (as in, posting about, not actually building) a 200.000 kW datacenter in the UAE next year. That probably won’t appear though, since OpenAI is quickly running out of money, but it shows how much power we use for LLM nonsense compared to science.
