Boomer from Hamilton , Ontario, Canada, and growing up it was probably 70% shoes ON in my parts…lots of kids, in and out constantly. Obviously, snow and mud were exceptions. The 30% shoes OFF homes were the outliers…

It wasn’t until my late teens that I started to notice a shift, personally and societally, to shoes OFF.

Nowadays, even if the host *insists* that I keep my shoes ON, it doesn’t feel right, so I tend not to.

I have a 65" flatscreen TV that I hung on my wall, by myself.
I had a 26" console in 2005 that required 2 strong folks to carry.
Both are TVs, so same!

Exactly the same! Portable! Can be plugged into any standard household outlet! Preheat in 5 minutes! Fully roast a 2kg chicken in 45 minutes! Fit on the counter! Operate for pennies!

What were they called? I’d love to know, as apparently through decades of rv-ing, cottaging, and travelling, I don’t recall encountering them! And none of the rv industry’s resources mentioned this decades-old technology! Do you have any images of them on store shelves? Air Fryer recipes from the 90s?

My oven won’t fit on the counter top, or in my RV.
I can’t plug my oven into any standard household outlet.
My oven’s energy costs are considerably more than these apparently decades-old air fryers (that nobody knew about).
