If I wrote a book about Bean Man the super hero, than I should maintain all rights to the concept of Bean Man and the related “characters/world” until I die or put it under public domain. The rights can be inherited by 1 generation, but they have 10 years to do something relevant with it or it falls into public domain. Also if the IP sits unused for 20 years, clear derivatives can be made so long as it’s clear the original creator was not involved.

However, the actual product, the books I write fall into a different category. After 30 years or, 1 year unavailable to legally purchase by an average person*, the books become free to share under a creative common license that does not allow for derivatives, or profit. In other words, the book it self becomes free for everyone but someone can’t take the IP and make a new “Bean Man” story (unless the copyright is no longer in effect).

* if I try some shit like sell it cash only on the 31st of February or charge a absurd price, all of my past and future works will be put into public domain as a “fuck you for being piece of shit”.

IT probably bans them because they can’t access the data. Keepass files are some kind of container, you can store any file with in it. Great when you want save a txt doc with 2fa recovery codes or something and also not a bad way to send a payload that’s impossible to scan. “I’m going on vacation, please use this keypass file for vendor XYZ, open the file within for the vendors contact info”.

Until Graphene’s stock experience (i.e stock apps and launcher) mature enough to not look out of place next to google and apple, the average Joe will pick the more polished phone. I hope improving that is a task Motorola will be able to help with, while graphene keeps doing their thing.

It’s early enough in the semester that it may just not be fully processed yet. When I was in school I was able to dump what ever “loan refund” they gave me right into the principle.

I hate they call it a refund, it just means you took out a bigger loan than what the bill actually cost. Calling it a refund makes people think they got free money.

Practicality, there isn’t a single solution that will stop the shootings, a dozen band aids is better than doing nothing. You can get rid of the phones, could invest that 150k into to the salary of a school therapist, pay teachers more so they aren’t all depressed and overworked. Hire more teachers so classes aren’t 30+, maybe they’d be able to focus on a kid for more than 3 minutes a day. In other words actually fund education.

I don’t like the idea of taking away kids ability to call 911 in an emergency. This isn’t 1980. Classroom phones are an option, but many have switched to voip and rely on some major internet service not being randomly down that day. Supposedly they’d work with 911 no matter what, but I wouldn’t rely on that.

Could switch to dumb phone or set up parental controls to block internet access, and various apps, during school hours, while still allowing phone calls.

I’m talking about a windows feature that activity changes the cursor to be the inverse of the content underneath it. If content = black, then curosr = white. If content = white, then cursor = black.

It’s not so simple as downloading a curosr pack with different colored icons.

I searched the web and results are all just various forms with the feature requested, but no feature. One rumor floating around is Windows might have a patent on it or something, but I didn’t go digging for that info.

Having fancy china/dish sets for display isn’t really a thing the youth is worried about.
