Yep, thats the key issue that so many people fail to understand. They want AI to be deterministic but it simply isnt. Its like expecting a human to get the right answer to any possible question, its just not going to happen. The only thing we can do is bring error rates with ai lower than a human doing the same task, and it will be at that point that the ai becomes useful. But even at that point there will always be the alignment issue and nondeterminism, meaning ai will never behave exactly the way we want or expect it to.

Pretty sure only on pc. Ive never looked for notifs on pc, but i comment maybe a handful of times on youtube videos each year. Ive taken a look at my watch history more recently because i was curious to see why i had never seen a response. Turns out i was recieving responses, but even on the youtube page in my internet browser it wasnt giving me any notification. I refuse to download the youtube app because it wont allow sponsorblock or ublock origin, which are both mandatory for watching even 12 seconds long clips on youtube. Or so ive heard, as ive stated i dont get ads so i dont have first hand experiance with those issues.

It doesnt seem like it needs to be said that charity is good. But for one, the implication I was making was referring to child molestation, which is well documented amongst the group i refered to. Hence why I made a reductionist joke about the phrasing of their words.

For two, it would seem to me that the important thing there would be the charity, not specifically that it came from a catholic priest. Would that same charity from a local charity, organization, or individual not carry the same weight? Hence it seems quite pointless to bring up that priests do charity. So do a lot of other people. Its not their entire job either. The distinction lies in the fact that other charity groups arent known to engage in child molestation, nor have a systemic issues with covering up and protecting child molestors.

When discussing things like this, i find it best to view it through the lens of ubi. AI is happening, theres no amount of online debating thats going to change that. So if you dont create an economic system where people dont have to work to survive, people arent going to survive in your system. Hence, they have a point. People that WANT to get into music always have that option, untied to economic success. People that only make music as a cash grab now no longer have that incentive, because they dont need to.
