You could get a few stray drones exploding over the US mainland but do you think it would stop them from invading?

Cuba can’t produce any significant amount of drones without imports. Being an island in the US backyard they can be blockaded with ease. Iran can still import their stuff over land.

It’s relatively easy to bomb every launch site on a tiny island compared to Iran.

It’s also easier to cover every path a drone could take from Cuba and still reach anything of value. You have tons on well supplied air bases that can use relatively cheap munitions launched from fighters instead of using dwindling supplies of patriot missiles.

The US has zero tolerance for damage on our soil. People would lose their freaking minds.

and still reach anything of value.

Well yeah, Cuba can’t reach all the way up to Georgia, so things of value aren’t at risk.

HA! Not even. Florida has nothing worth hitting really. You know what I’d hit if I was Cuba? The LOOP. Offshore oil tanker loading and unloading facility in Gulf of Mexico south of Louisiana. The LOOP handles roughly 10-13% of US crude oil imports and is crucial for exports. You think gas prices are bad now? Just wait.

Cuba ain’t Iran. There is no Cuban equivalent of the IRGC or trading network back door that extends to Russia and China.

When the hammer falls, we’re mostly going to see a lot of dead Cubans and a lot of fled Cubans.

The real risk that War With Cuba presents is a massive flood of refugees showing up across the Caribbean and Mexico.

If refugees can float to the mainland, I think there is probably reason for concern that asymmetrical warfare can be performed, regardless of their lack of traditional or ultra modern equipment. We have literally never avoided consequences from regime change abroad, so maybe it’s a bad idea. Just thinking out loud here.

I would be far less worried about Americans living in the Gulf Coast and far more worried about Cubans subject to US Total War on the island

I think they did just get some. It won’t be enough to fight the united States seriously or hold out except in a house-to-house way but it will be enough to blow the shit out of the worst parts of it, should they choose to. Which they should.

Well, it is still quite a lot of difference to have war on another side of the earth, than having war on your backyard.

They’ll attack Cuba, a massive flotilla of inner tubes, canoes, and rowboats will fill the waters, the administration will start shooting the refugees from the sky by the hundreds, and claim:

“President Trump is finally liberating the people of Cuba!”

DeSicko cowering in a bunker is a rather entertaining idea.

And do you suppose Cuba has drones that can reach Mar-a-Lardo?

These days, Rubio just walks around with resting defeat face. IDK why OP felt it needed to be sloped-up to make the joke.
