The free world is fed up with unhinged threats from the U.S. — and strikes back.

It’s really a “buy anything that’s not American but buy Canadian if you can”. Just bought a bunch of new German hand tools. Couldn’t be happier.

Trump is an idiot and personifies what idiots think success looks like…

Almost everything he has done is backfiring spectacularly for the USA, the only thing he seems to be actually successful at is grifting

    Muricans… enjoy the cliff

And yet literally the exact same trend is happening here all over Europe: education system decline (less students enrolled in secondary, number of schools declining, teacher:child ratios increasing, increased teachers quitting or burned out), huge increase in fascist and right wing support all over Europe, anti-science and anti-vax movements starting to pop up and grow, huge decrease in union memberships, especially among young people, and worker rights being slowly degraded.

This is exactly how it started in America, and before people say “that is because of american culture and propaganda exports”, that could very well be, but it doesn’t change the fact that it is happening here and the same trend of people becoming more uneducated and dumber is happening. In 20 years we will be as dumb as america if the trend accelerates.

Plus, with the rise of corpo-fascist movements in the EU, people are already stupid enough to vote squarely against their own interests to spite someone they hate.

It’s what happens when you cut education for the past 30-50years and take curiosity out of learning.

In my opinion, the greatest weapon you have is EU based open source software to replace all Apple, Microsoft, and Google services and products.

I only wish this reached normal people. Most normal people seem to not give 2 shits about buying European. They don’t even try to care. But I do love that the media is making it a thing.

The US is used to having it’s millitary equipment subsidized by foreign buyers, now they are looking elsewhere.

I mean having ten flying Gripens is better than having 20 F-35s stuck on the ground because the US didn’t approve your mission plans and upload them to the fighters from their servers.

While your statement is correct, however per euro you get at least 2 gripens per F35 so the actual case is even more in favour of the gripen

EU is literally colony of USA, all of countries in imperial core have just one goal, to benefit the rich and exploit the third world.

      • Skeppshult 🇸🇪

Isn’t Le Creuset only enamelled cast iron? They have a shop near me and the windows are full of a rainbow selection of different coloured enamelled pans. Victoria their pans are printed with made in Colombia but interesting to know its a Canadian owner. Will take a look at some of the others.

I can’t say yet if it’s good or not because it’s my first cast iron skillet and I’ve had it for a bit less than half a year, but so far I’m very happy with Maku and the price is good compared to some others I’ve seen on sale. Family-owned Finnish company based in Tampere, but also available here in Estonia. Don’t know about their availability in other countries.

      From their “Sustainability” page:

Maku products are manufactured in Europe, Finland and the Far East in factories that, if located in a high-risk country, are committed to the amfori BSCI Code of Conduct by signing the document or are audited by a third party. We use the amfori Country Risk Classification as our risk country classification.

Edit: Now looking at it apparently it is enamelled cast iron.

I know nothing about this company but the statement that all is good because some manager has signed a document is a bit ridiculous
